LOCATION & ACCESS
Fjordkysten & Sunnfjord offers a rare combination of open coastline, island communities, deep fjords and glacier landscapes in Western Norway. Located north of the Sognefjord and forming part of Fjord Norway, the region stretches from the outer coast to the glaciers of Jostedalsbreen National Park, providing dramatic contrasts within short travel distances.
Situated between Bergen and Ålesund, the region connects island communities along the open sea with inland fjord landscapes and glacier-fed valleys. Short travel distances make it possible to experience coast, fjord and glacier within the same stay.
The region includes the municipalities of Sunnfjord, Kinn, Askvoll, Hyllestad and Solund, offering a curated portfolio of boutique accommodation, nature-based activities and local food experiences suited for FIT and small group travel, and is home to the UNESCO Global Geopark Fjordkysten Regional & Geopark.
